I had a great experience with Lucy and Miss Harlequin! I made a pretty last minute decision to have hair and makeup done, and Lucy offered flexibility when scheduling my trial (even letting me reschedule when I got sick). I worked with Alicia who was so nice and fun to chat with, and who really put a lot of time and care into helping me find my look and asking me guiding questions along the way to make sure I felt good about everything. Throughout the process Lucy was super responsive via email and even put together a time table for getting ready, which she didn't mind changing multiple times on my request. I think my only wish is that my tiara was a little tighter to my head on wedding day. It was super anchored in for my trial and I think the only reason it was a little loose is because we were a little short on time. It was really important to me that my eyeliner was correct, and Alicia NAILED it, so I was happy to spend our time on that. What's also great is that the Miss Harlequin artists are trained in both hair and makeup, so you don't have to have a ton of minimum services booked to just take care of a few people. Would highly recommend!

We booked this service for my daughter's destination wedding in NYC, they were so talented, professional and fun!

I booked Miss Harlequin for two wedding events. Lucy was quick to respond to all emails and was flexible when it came to adding people to my party or amending the day-of timeline. Alicia did my actual hair and makeup. She was fantastic. She was able to take the vision I had and make it a reality. Not only did my makeup last all day, she also gave me a little touch up packet so I could fix my makeup though it wasn't needed. Compared to the other services I researched, I found Miss Harlequin to be very reasonably priced. I highly recommend them for any hair and make up needs!

She makes it happen on set and makes you look and feel fabulous! Her attention to detail makes her looks on point. She is also amazing in skin color correction Highly recommend for glamour photography and pageants.

I hired Lucy & team to do hair and makeup for my bridal party and the moms for my wedding. I can't say enough amazing things! Lucy is a gem and so easy to work with and communicate with. I met her a few times in her studio before the big day and I knew right away I wanted to work with her.

She and her team showed up right on time - we were getting ready at the William Vale - I got a little worried about space bc those rooms are tiny, and they didn't have any issues getting set up and making everyone look amazing. Everyone absolutely loved their hair and makeup - I happen to think I had the most gorgeous bridal party in the world :)

Even better - Lucy has very competitive pricing and made it easy for me to bundle all services into one so I could cover the cost of hair and makeup as a gift, which was important to me. Thank you Lucy!!!

I booked a trial with Miss Harlequin for hair and make-up to assess if it was a good fit for my wedding. The communication up to the trial was good. However, the day of the trial is where it went downhill. I received a text in the AM asking if I was available to meet a half hour - hour earlier than the time I booked. Being that it was a workday, I was unable to do so and I communicated accordingly. I was then told the artist had a hard stop after 2 hours and when I asked why this wasn't communicated beforehand, I was told she just found out the day of. I expressed concern at the lack of communication, and was then told 2 hours "should" be enough time but that they didn't want me to feel "rushed". I consulted with a few girlfriends who just went through trials who told me 2 hours for hair and makeup for 2 looks is not possible. Given that this trial was $400, I expect to get what I pay for, which is professional and accurate communication with ample time to do hair and makeup. I can't speak on their work given that they cancelled the trial and refunded me, but the communication and customer service the day of was poor. I wanted to express this in case others have a similar dilemma with fitting trials into work days!

I had a wonderful experience working with Lucy! She knew exactly what "look" I was going for (natural and glowy), and she absolutely delivered. She knows exactly how to make you feel your best on your wedding day. I should also note that my makeup and hair lasted the entire day!

Not only is Lucy professional and excellent at her work, but her personality was so sweet and easy to talk to while you're getting your hair/makeup done. Truly helps with the wedding nerves! Before the wedding, she was also very on top of her emails and would respond to all of our questions within 24 hours.

I can't say enough great things about my experience with Lucy and my wedding hair and makeup trial.

For months I was undecided on what look I wanted and really spent hours stressing over it. I didnt want "natural" nor did I want un-natural. I was having a hard time with the updos because I have long hair and never wear my hair up. It doesn't look like me and I don't feel beautiful with my hair up. I read alot of great reviews about Miss Harlequinn and decided to reach out through Yelp. She promptly responded and provided me clear cut information about the services and I booked my trial.

She welcomed my fiance' and myself in and I was super at ease talking to her and showing her my inspiration pictures. Her personality is delightful and she is so full of radiant energy, which is what you want on your wedding day!

When I saw myself in the mirror, it was like all the stress and worry melted away. I truly felt so beautiful and glamorous! And I do wear makeup but it is NOT the same as having it airbrushed and done by Professional. The look on my fiance 's face (that "wow" moment) when he saw me made my eyes tear up but my makeup stayed put. She got the perfect look for me and exactly what I wanted on the first try. I spent the rest of my day walking around NYC, we walked the highline on a cold windy day and went out at night and my hair and makeup still looked beautiful.

I'm adding pictures because this is what I was looking for when reading reviews. It's always nice to see, even though they are based on each person's personal makeup and hair choice.

Lucy was *unbelievably* talented, professional, hilarious, kind, and so calming before a big event. Excellent energy and expertise! She not only made me look more beautiful than I could have imagined, she stayed exactly 'on brief' - a modern take on classic Hollywood. I have long red hair and she worked with it fantastically as well as found the most perfect shade of red lipstick which stayed on during my entire event! Lucy arrived early for an early morning appointment, worked carefully but efficiently, and was a wonderful presence of encouragement. I was incredibly fortunate to have been able to procure her services relatively close to my event and she worked on our expedited schedule like a pro. Clear, quick communication and easeful booking and payment. Amazing find - my new go to for any event. I could not recommend her more highly! Thank you Lucy for being so beautiful and making the rest of us so as well!
